WHERE CAN I GET TUNINGS FOR MY FAVORITE HEDGES SONGS?
Here is a list of some tunings that Mr. Hedges uses in other songs.
Most of these were compiled from a book by Mark Hanson called (most
appropriately) "Alternate Tunings for Guitar"; and some of the tunings are
a result of hours of meticulous winding and unwinding of my overused tuning
pegs. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Not sure why that last attempt at posting this got garbled. Anyway...
I worked these tunings out off a video and they are 100% guaranteed correct.
Unless of course I'm blind and deaf. In some cases they may be off a
half-tone from what you've read in magazine articles but regardless, this is
the way Michael was playing them in 1990.

Buffalo Stance - AEBDEA
Eminence Front - CEBDEA
Gimme Shelter - C#EBEEB

Hi
Nice to hear from you - The AB is
C (down from E)
C (up from A) - talking about tension here
D (same)
G (same)
A (down from B)
D (down from E)
The intro is left hand tapping on 2nd frets of 1 and 3 strings. It is
important to mute these strings with RH to get that click-click -click.
The next voicing is open 5th, open 4th, and open 3rd (C D G), plucked by
RH fingers. There are more to this but that's the idea
The bass part (notice that the 5th and 6th are tuned octave apart) is
open 5/6 strings
RH index finger on 12th fret for harmonics
RH index finger of 9th fret
RH index finger sliding down from 9 th to 7th fret
RH pull off to ring open 5/6 strings
Well, that's all I know. That tune is in the Windham Hill video.
Sincerely
Chief
